Aspirina...

The photo is out of focus and the battery died right there, so I could not go for a second shot. But it´s enough to get the feeling.

This series of sculptures was part of an exhibition called "Germany: Land of Ideas". There was another sculpture of an Audi TT about 30ft long stationed in front of the Brandenburg Gate, but I didn´t take any photos of that one.

I have an old Canon EOS 300 and I have been thinking for years that I should sell it while I can still get some money for it. But I can never make up my mind. On the one hand, I won´t get much anyway, and on the other, giving it away makes me feel sad.

This is one of the first photos I took with the Lumix. It´s taken in a photography shop in my neighbourhood, where loads of old cameras are waiting for their future owner to find them...

Osloerstrasse...

Today was a rainy day so we decided to go for some sort of in-door activity and ended up in a museum for children. It is located in an old factory in Osloerstrasse. It is a really wide street with the rails for the tram in the middle. The photo is taken eastwards from the crossing with Prinzenalle.

In Spain you usually take a towel and a sun umbrella to the beach. Here wind shelters seem to be the preferred option, although that day having some shade was actually better than not having the wind.

By the way, this photo is taken in a typical beach location and it´s nice not to see any buildings. This is due to the fact that buildings are not high enough to go above the tree barrier and that they are away from the water (unlike in many places in Spain). I would recommend all townhalls in Spain to send somebody to the Baltic sea to take some notes...

Atardecer...

Some times when I show photos to my daughter she tells me that she also wants to listen to them. Obviously still too young to tellapart photos and videos. But if you could listen to this one, you would hear a brasilian DJ with loud music on a beach party. That´s life...

Verboten...

This weekend was one of the hottest ones in Germany so far this year.
We were very fortunate to spend it in the Baltic Sea, in Boltenhagen, where this photo is taken.

As it is easy to imagine, it is forbidden to jump from the pier into the sea. Good to see that Germans can break the rules some times...

The french course will stop until Charlotte is back in September, so it was a good excuse to go for some cake and coffee. We ended up in a small café in Stressemanstrasse, close to the Willy Brandt Haus. Although typically German, to me it looked as if it had a Spanish touch. Maybe the tiles?

By the way, the frame effect is free and taken from this link.

My french teacher, Charlotte Noblet, is about to start a cycling tour along the border between Germany and Poland. She will document her experiences in www.veloblog.eu (in French, German and Polish) and, for sure, it will be entertaining and full of funny anecdotes.

I encourage everyone to read her posts, which is a good way of creating a better Europe. The link will be available in the section "Enlaces" while the tour takes place.

Another one of those it is difficult not to stop and take a shot, even if just with the mobile phone. A tandem bike for an adult and a child, great idea...

I don´t like this photo quite as much as the previous one, but I think it is a good complement...

I like this photo because it transmits a nice feeling of calmness. I took it in Mallorca in the beginning of March and the beach was almost deserted, so this lady had loads of space and silence to relax and get lost in her thoughts...

Call a bike...

flores...

This bicycles are spread in Berlin and other cities in Germany and they belong to DB (the railway company). Once you are logged as a user, you just have to call a number to get the code that unlocks the electronic lock. When you are finished, you call again to tell the whereabouts of the bicycle and you are charged by the minute.

I must admit this reminds me of the flowers business...

This is the Hauptbahnhof, which, although very new, has already been the center of some interesting issues. First, I read somewhere that it was decided to shorten the cover for the platform because they were late for the opening. Then, the day of official celebration a drunkard went on a stabbing spree ont hose watching the fireworks and, finally, the building was heavily damaged after the first wind storm.

Having said this, I must admit it is a wonderful piece of engineering and I like it a lot. Inside it reminds me of my days as a commuter when I was going to University...

Y de regalo, las esculturas de arena.
And as a bonus, the sand sculptures
