Engelberg...



Creo que a todos nos llamaron la atención especialmente lo verde que estaba todo y el azul del cielo. Pincha en la foto para verla más grande.

Estas fotos están tomadas desde el teleférico que sube desde Engelberg al Trübsee.



The green and blue tones really caught our attention. Those landscapes are fantastic.


The photos are taken fromthe cable car taking us from Engelberg to the Trübsee. As usual you can see the bigger picture clicking in it.

Este lago está a unos 1800m de altura y me trae recuerdos de Escocia...

This lake is at around 1800m above sea level and it reminds me of Scotland...

Luzern...



Hemos pasado unos días en Suiza y la verdad es que nos ha resultado un lugar encantador. En las fotos, el puente de Lucerna de día y de noche.

We spent some days in Switzerland, which we found marvellous. The photos depict one of the bridges in Luzern.

Berlin Buddy Bears...

La exposición está entre Potsdamer Platz y la Puerta de Brandenburgo, y cada oso está decorado representando a un país.

The exhibition is between Potsdamer Platz and Brandenburg Gate and each bear has been painted by an artist from the country it is representing.

Muro de Berlín...

Tal día como hoy hace 46 años se empezó a contruir el muro.Todavía quedan trozos en pie, como en la Niederkirchnerstrasse, donde tomé esta foto hace unas semanas.

On 13th August 1961, construction of the wall was started. There are still some sectors standing, like this one in Niederkirchnerstrasse, where I took this photo a few weeks ago on a rainy morning...

Reichstag y el Spree...

El único mérito que tiene esta foto es que me he levantado a las cinco y media un sábado para ir al centro a hacerla. Ésta la hice sobre las siete...

Only thing worth being mentioned about this photo is that I woke up at 5:30 on a Saturday morning to go to downtown Berlin to take it. This one was taken around 7AM...

Al pasar pensé que era una máquina de tabaco o de condones, pero no, se trata de una máquina expendedora de recámaras de bicicleta...

At first I thought it was just another cigarette or condom vending machine, but no, it´s a vending machine for tubes inside bycicle tyres...

Calles de Berlín...

Una cosa que me gusta en Berlín son los postes con los nombre de las calles, porque muchas veces incluyen un par de frases sobre la persona a la que está dedicada.

Lo que no me gusta es la numeración. A menudo los números empiezan por un lado y van consecutivos hasta el final y luego vuelven por el otro lado. Así que si hay 100 números, el uno y el cien están enfrente en un extremo. A mí siempre me había parecido más fácil para orientarse que los pares vayan por un lado de la calle y los impares por otro. Pero eso es lo que hay...


Streets in Berlin...

Something I like in Berlin is the posts with the names of the streets. Very often they have an extra space with a couple of lines on the life of the person the street is named after.

What I don´t like that much is how houses are numbered. In many cases numbers start in one end of the street and increase only on one side, all the way to the end and then back on the other side. That means that if there are 100 numbers, number 1 and number 100 will be opposite each other at one end of the street. I always found it easier to have odd numbers on one side and even numbers on the other. But obviously things are the way they are...
