There are so many things that you can plan in such a trip. And then there are those that you cannot plan (the fun bit). This was the first picture I took, the day after I arrived, when going in the late evening for a walk around the city center. Of all pictures, it happened to be a church with a statue of (maybe) Christ. Sort of appropriate for Christchurch, don´t you think?
The one thing that got my attention was the general half demolished state of the building that can be perceived through the trees. Many churches accross the city have been severely damaged, with many a tower standing on the ground these days.
