We arrived on Thursday evening and after checking in and dropping the rental car, we went for a walk. It was so cold that we ended up looking for hats! Eventually we decided to go up to the Top of the Rock, aka the GE building, and have a look at Manhattan´s skyline at night. Once up there I spotted this, which reminded me of the background of my current blog template.
Taking photos while it is drizzling just above zero on a windy night is bad enough. Finding that the photo is not properly focused or simply not sharp because of the 1/2s hand-held shot is worse. By the way, tripods are not allowed and I, in my wisdom, decided not to bring the monopod to this trip. But more on that later...
