Patitas de mosca

La foto está inspirada en esta otra, a la que llegué por otro blog que frecuento. El bolígrafo está que se cae de viejo porque va a todas partes conmigo, igual que el anterior del mismo modelo con el que hice toda la carrera y que duró hasta que lo perdí en Inglaterra.

Lo de patitas de mosca viene a cuento de que así es como mi profesor de Lengua y Literatura en el instituto llamaba, de forma afectuosa, mi escritura. Por cierto que mi letra no ha mejorado con los años. Me pregunto si pasará lo mismo con las fotos...

This photo is inspired on this other one, which I discovered through one of the blogs I read.The ballpoint pen looks really bad as it´s permanently used for the last seven years or so, similarly to the previous one which I used for my degree and, eventually, lost somewhere in England.

My handwrting did not get better with time, rather the other way round. I wonder if it will be the same with my photos...

Opernhaus Leipzig

Creo que con esto acabo la miniserie de panoramas de Leipzig. No sé cuanto más funcionará la demo del Autostitch :-)

Es curioso que la plaza estaba vacía (hacía frío pero tampoco era para tanto) a pesar de hacer la foto a mediodía. Mejor, más fácil.

Strangely enough, and although it was not particularly cold that day (shot at midday), the square was pretty much empty.

Mädlerpassage

Hauptbahnhof Leipzig

Una de las joyas de Leipzig es su estación central. El interior es muy espacioso, así que a falta de gran angular, bendito sea el Autostitch. La foto de arriba es una composición de una de las entradas.

Como se puede ver en el set de Picasa, el interior es más impresionante si cabe y, además, después de la remodelación de hace unos años, también sirve de centro comercial, algo que parece imponerse en Alemania.

One of the must-see in Leipzig is its main rail station. Since I do not have a wide angle lens, the Autostitch compositions help to give an idea. The shot above is from one of the entrance halls.

Inside the station is even more impressive. Currently there is also a shopping center, which seems to be a trend in Germany.

Fumar es peligroso

Ahora sólo se puede fumar en las zonas designadas para ello, que a veces son un poco raras. Esta foto está tomada en la estación central de Leipzig.

Esperemos que los trenes tengan los frenos en buen estado...

Smoking is only allowed in the permitted areas, which some times are at odd locations. This shot is from Leipzig Hauptbahnhof.

Hopefully the braking system of the trains works fine...

Moabiter Brücke

Antes intentaba hacer las panorámicas con la cámara en automático, y claro, salían como salían. Ahora de vez en cuando me acuerdo de hacer las fotos en manual y siguen saliendo como salen, pero al menos el cielo no canta tanto. Me pregunto qué tal quedará esto impreso en un póster...

Vista desde el Moabiter Brücke. Por cierto que el buffet del desayuno del gang&gäbe es de lo más recomendable (en la orilla que se ve, pero al otro lado del puente).

I used to shoot this panorama photos using the P mode, and the results were less than mediocre. Now (from time to time at least) I remember to shoot in manual and the results are a bit more acceptable. I wonder how the hi-res photo would look like printed on a poster...

This is the view from the Moabiter Brücke. And totally off the topic, the breakfast buffet in the gang&gäbe is very good (it is on the other side of the bridge, not seen in the photo).

Bellevue

DTMB

Hoy tocaba el Deutches Technikmuseum (o un trozo de él, porque es inmenso). Vista desde la terraza generada con una versión demo de Autostich, igual que la foto de abajo.



We visited today the Deutches Technikmuseum (actually, just a tiny little bit of it). This is the view from underneath the aircraft above the terrace. It´s been put together by a demo version of Autostitch, same as the one below.

Huchas

Alguien tiene una hucha? Mi hija ya tiene tres (no es que dos ya estén llenas) y se hacen compañía.

Anybody has a moneybox? My daughter already has three (not that they are full) and they keep each other company.

Grunewald

Tengo la suerte de tener un trozo de bosque (no un parque) prácticamente al lado de casa, así que hoy que ha salido soleado nos hemos ido a dar un paseo por Grunewald. En uno de los lagos se podían ver placas de hielo, lo que me ha sorprendido bastante porque este año apenas si ha hecho frío hasta ahora.

I´m very afortunate to have the woods (not just a park) close home. It was sunny today so we went for a walk in Grunewald. Some of the lakes even had a bit of ice, which I found quite surprising as this has been a very mild winter so far.
